Friesian-L is a mailing list dedicated to the friendly discussion of the Friesian horse.

I began the list a few years ago for people to talk about their Friesians and half Friesians or those who are just dreaming. We welcome anyone who wants to get to know the breed better. Discussions of breed politics and the conflicts between our various registry arms must be kept friendly or taken to private disscussion.

The list is not moderated (in the maillist sense) and subscription is open to all. Please join us!

Please Note! Friesian-L is a High Volume list. This means that during peak volume periods you could recieve 100-200 messages a day some including pictures up to 300KB. This list can send more then 1000 messages a week when it is busy. There are Digest options to cut down on mail recieved and Archives to allow you to read messages online if that kind of traffic is not an option.

I'm Not Recieving My Friesian-L Mail!!!!

Due to the ongoing efforts by all ISP's to fight spam, there is occasionally problems with the delivery of the Friesian-L mail that you have requested. Many of the smaller ISP's and occasionaly Yahoo and AOL mark our mail to you as SPAM and prevent it from getting to your mailbox.

When this happens there are several steps that we can take to try and restore your mail delivery.

1. We can try to email the email administrators and let them know that Friesian-L is being automatically blocked, and that you requested the mail.

2. We can try and forward you the notice from your ISP for you to contact them.

3. You can try contacting your email help desk and let them know they are blocking mail you've requested.

Unfortunately there are times when we're unable to convince your ISP to allow your mail to be delivered to the account you've requested. As of this time there are two options to deal with that problem.

1. View the list via the Archives

2. Choose another email account provider to have your mail delivered to.

Option 1 is always available, and can be accessed via our main webpage. Several people have resorted to option 2 and currently reccommend gmail as reliable. If you do choose option 2 you can leave your original address subscribed and set to not recieve mail, leaving you the option of posting from that address.
